Description

Had this idea for a while and since I've been drawing these past few days I finally sketched it out and uGH I AM DONE ʿʿ⁽⁽((⁰ⅈ⁰))⁾⁾ʾʾ

Let me start by saying gODDAMN ZUKO IS SUCH A BAE (●♡∀♡)

Just a fair warning, there may be spoilers in this description? ?? I don't know what people consider spoilers these days?

Though I don't like seing these two in pain, I absolutely love when they're both trying to find themselves and restore their honour, because it just shows that no matter how different two people can be, they can come to the same crossroads within themselves and just- absolute perfection is the Avatar series.

I recently caught back up with Legend of Korra and have a few ideas for fanart for that too beCAUSE UNF IT'S GETTING SO GOOD, but yeAH THIS IS LIKE THE 12TH TIME I'M WATCHING THE ATLA SERIES?? ? MAYBE MORE? ??

Idk if this was a witty name ? It was just going to be "Two Sides of the Same Coin" but like HOW CAN I PASS UP THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLACE PAI SHO TILE THERE?????? I was torn between "Lotus Tile" and "Pai Sho Tile" and ended up going for "Pai Sho Tile" and featuring the Lotus tile in the BG because sO MUCH YES TO IROH ᕙ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᕗ

WELP, OH-

Excerpt from the Avatar Wiki for those of you who don't get the Pai Sho reference or need help refreshing their minds;

Pai Sho (牌數) is a two-player game that is popular throughout the World of Avatar, appealing to people of all ages. Dating back to the era of Raava, legend has that it was invented by the spirits, and the game has remained popular among people all over the world since that time. It is a game of both strategy and chance, with each culture having developed its own rules and variations of the game. Prior to the group's existence being publicly revealed at the end of the Hundred Year War, the Order of the White Lotus used Pai Sho to identify its members by forming a lotus flower with the tiles.

More info can be found here: avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Pai_Sho

It's featured in the series quite a bit, and also love how it's been brought back a little in Legend of Korra (。・ω・。)ノ♡

ANYWHO- I'll just go on for hours and hours about how much I love ATLA and LoK if I continue writing, so I'm gonna stop here.

*clutches heart* Having just watched the episode "The Storm" recently... oh gosh, I'm crying for both of these boys all over again. :tears:

This is a beautiful fanart. Very symbolic, and artistically-speaking very well-drawn too.
